It is distilled with wine made from local grapes and aged in oak barrels to produce an easy-to-drink brandy. Internationally recognized, Macieira has won several awards since his presence at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889. His elegant and insightful character has allowed the brand to keep up with the times and adapt to the current market, always celebrating its origins and expertise. Produced from the best Portuguese grapes, Macieira has a unique aroma and flavor, obeying, for more than 100 years, the same production process. Apple tree, with an alcoholic strength of 36º, is obtained from wine spirit with a minimum aging of six months in oak casks. Its subtle aroma results from the original recipe, kept secret since its creation, and from the distillation of the Arinto, Periquita, Trincadeira and Fernão Pires grapes.
